A couple weeks back, I had an urge to try something new. Breaking away from the 2D art a bit, I'd seen a fair share of people do some nice work with Poser. However, Poser costs money, I'm thrifty, and I'm trying to not pirate software any more. I looked for alternatives and found this neat software called DAZ Studio from DAZ3D. Free to use, decent number of tutorials, and plenty of content out there for free (legitimateyl free) if you know where to look. After a couple weeks of tinkering, researching, and screaming at my PC, I started making a little sequence, using just things I could find for free.

I have a couple more parts on the way, but I'm hitting the wall between what I want to do and what I can do for free. I may open this up for "donate what you want" and the proceeds will go to getting more tools so I can keep doing expansion, and improving on what I've done so far. ;)

ENJOY! Feedback appreciated!!

Can't be better, little detail maybe on bra, if she had not any bra, she would have some pointy nipples in the beginning :D

This is probably true. I've noticed that pointy-nips don't work so well with that kinda cloth in Daz... I must experiment!!

Nice posing, the expressions are pretty good, too. It'll be really interesting of seeing your twist on nipple expansion in this style.

Hey, thanks for the compliments!
Nipple expansion... Isn't going to happen with the tool sets I currently have. ^_^; Unfortunately, the breast controls I have for the Genesis 2 Female (the model pictured) don't have a very good 'nipple' option and the one they do have doesn't morph the real 'nipple' area, but rather a spit just to one side, so it looks REALLY off. I just downloaded some morphs for the Genesis 1 figure which... may have an overwhelming number of controls. We'll see!

Ohhh, I see. Yeah, the Genesis 2 main female presets can be pretty limited in terms of body editing. I believe there are some nudity packs where such perameters can be changed more rigorously, but I may be mistaken. I never understood how to use the program all to well while I had it.

Hot DAYUM, that's impressive.  I really love the progression of the expression in this piece.  The way it goes from shocked and vaguely weirded-out, to smugly satisfied is really quite delightful, and the final shape has a pleasantly weighty, but still slightly taut quality that leaves it ambiguous whether you're dealing with actual growth or something a bit more... pneumatic. :XD:

I tried DAZ Studio a while back, but I was never able to get the hang of it.  Couldn't figure out how to import new models/figures, clothing, etc., and the more I fiddled with it, the buggier and more prone to seizing up the program seemed to become.  If there's solid tutorials out now, and more free options for expansion-related stuff, I may have to dust it off, re-install it and give it another try. :D

Hehe. Your comments are always nice, Prraxus. Means I've done something noteworthy. ;P
It's been a fun ride so far! ^_^ The expressions are something I hope I can keep going. One of the things I kinda pride myself on, ya know? Hoping that extends to 3D...
Heh... Filled with weight or filled with air. Who knows? ... It's more a factor of the bust sliders I have right now. XD Hopefully, I can get some that are more robust soon.

So far, my DAZ experience has been a lot of trial and error along with my typical "I want to do X. Google! How do I do X?" and "Google! I did Y and it doesn't work! Why!?"
If you want, I could walk you through some stuff. Lord knows, I have plenty of links I could share, too. ^_^

As always, thanks for the compliments and insights!

This definitely looks to be pretty impressive to me; especially if this is your first try doing 3D work.  :)

Though I will admit that for whatever reason, a lot of 3D work just "weirds me out"; especially when applied to fetish/erotic art.  As to why that is, I don't know; I guess it's probably because seeing expansion like this applied to 3D somehow makes it "too real" for me.

Though I'll admit that that's my own hang-up, rather than any actual criticism against you.  ^^;

XD No, I totally understand. It's ... I think it's a matter of the "Uncanny Valley", which plagues a lot of 3D art. I'll assume you know what it means or can look it up. You're not the only person to get weirded out by it. I admit that sometimes I get weirded out by the 3D fetish art because they focus on the curves and less on the faces and situation. All the women just look plastic. I'm hoping I'm not going that route. ^^;

Fine and dandy, man. I admit, I was thinking of submitting this to Hyper-Growing-Heaven... especially with what I have planned for Part 2...

Yeah, I know what the uncanny valley is; so that's most likely what it is.

With that said though, you should definitely consider doing more with 3D work; especially if you have a genuine interest in it (though I'd still like to see more of your 2D work as well).  =p

It only took you a couple weeks to figure out d-formers, dynamic cloth, and lighting? Now I feel extra stupid... it has taken me years.

Okay. "Figure out" is a bit strong. I'm still fiddling with the bust sliders and still can't find a decent free belly slider. Dynamic cloth needed some tutorials, and like I have in the description, I found them for free and just.... *shrugs* Use them. Lighting in DAZ was confusing as hell at first, especially since the official tutorials and interactive tutorials are basically "use this prefab" which tells me nothing. But your work looks more advanced than mine, espeically since I haven't found good belly controls yet.
Still needing to find good hand controls, belly and butt sliders (which cost moneys) and use some camera effects to ... I guess soften things up.

Don't feel stupid, man. ... years ago, the tech wasn't as advanced and there weren't nearly as many tutorials out there.

Hmm not sure. A few more frames than just three could be good, so you could sense the progression. But don't have anything bad to say about the graphics themselves :-)

Not bad for my first thing out of the gate, eh? I have another couple pics rendered, but... there's where my mind wants to go and where my free downloads can take me and they're not always the same. ;P

Any thoughts on where I could go next? Things to improve?

Well, since you use DAZ Studio, if you have the new 4.8 update(which is free, like all forms of DAZ), that gives you access to the Iray renderer, which is what I have used for my last couple of works. If you want to dynamically improve the lighting of your scenes, going with that is a sure fire way to do it.

Outside of some nitpicking regarding the clothing in the last panel, there's not a whole lot of advice I can give aside from just playing around with the software.

Just checked and I'm still on 4.7. I'll get 4.8 tonight. ... Umm... It won't mess up my files or anything, right? Like I won't have to re-download all my content?
I'll give Iray a shot. I've also downloaded some shaders for it to add mirror effects. ... Not useful right now, but who knows what future holds?

Yeah, still getting used to the whole 'dynamic clothing' thing. I'm having some problems with it, actually. when I uncheck something from the "Collide With..." menu, it stops colliding with anything and just falls to the floor. ... Most odd. Means I have to be tricky when doing things.

And... as far as nitpicks go, I'd love to hear those, too. I know it's kinda clipping the shoulder and her breast is exposed in part of it near the armrest... Is there other stuff?

4.8 shouldn't mess with anything, since the folder that your actual content is put in is different than the folder that the base program is installed to.

Yeah, dynamic clothing can be a BITCH. This is why a lot of people end up using the regular clothing and just creating custom morphs or D-formers for said clothing.

And since you asked for it... :icondealwithitplz:

-Initiating Nitpicking protocol- :meow:

I kid, I kid.

Really, outside of the general look of the render(which isn't necessarily BAD. In fact, you do a very good job of making the posing of your character and expressions on her face look pretty damn naturalistic. I just don't care for the basic 3Delight renderer that comes with DAZ Studio. Just... Ick. But, looking at my stuff and the higher end renderers I use, you can imagine my distaste for the 3Delight renderer due to knowing just how lovely these renders can be) the only thing I can really see is that her breasts clip through the arm rest of the chair in the final panel and the fact that the top no longer seems attached to her body in that same panel.

Really, and I mean this in all sincerity, you did an amazing job on this. Especially for a first piece. Go and look at my first attempt at this kind of thing, it is downright dog shit compared to this.
